War Child
As we all know, whenever U2 perform Bullet The Blue Sky, the song and its performance take on a different theme- depending on the tour. During the ZooTV tour, Bullet The Blue Sky was about Nazism. During the Vertigo Tour, it was about COEXIST. (The original meaning of song is about conditions in Central America during the mid-80s).
So was the band's performance of Bullet The Blue Sky during the Elevation Tour really about the lack of gun control in the US? Was it some sort of protest thing against gun violence?

Let's see- the excerpt from Charlton Heston's speech, Bono's rant about firearm accessibility, Bono making that gesture with the spotlight at the end. What do you think?
Are U2 making an anti-gun/pro-gun control statement here? And if so, why didn't the right-wing nuts of conservative America pick up on this?
