I recently heard that Edge came up with the music for Pride at a soundcheck for a gig in Honolulu on 16.11.83. Does anyone have any information about this show. Was it a stand alone U2 concert or was if a festival and, most importantly, does a recording exist? I've looked around a few sites and I can't even find the setlist.

Actually it was the other way around. Edge wasnt their when they first jammed out Pride. It was Bono, Larry and Adam only with Bono on guitar. Edge came up with the riff at a later date. But the idea for the song and initial structure was what was done at that soundcheck. There is no recording of the show or soundcheck in circulation.
