I bought an 7" EP of the single U2 Three. The EP itself has got white labels on both sides. The sleeve has a single thumb cut on the backside. It has also "GRAFOTONE" written on the back side. Does anybody know why it has got a white label? Is it genuine? Or is it even a testpressing?

Thanks in advance,

Here are a couple of good references for you:

This site is also helpful, although it does have unofficial stuff and bootlegs too, so be careful:

None of them show Three with a white label. Three is pretty widely bootlegged in general, so my hunch is that it is a fake. If it is a test pressing, then you have quite a treasure on your hands!

There's also a Facebook page called U2 Collector-do a search for it. There are people on that page regularly who would know more. Good luck!

It could indeed be a fake, but I have to say that the sleeve looks really old. Fortunately, the loss isn't too big if it turns out to be a fake. I bought it for 40 euros on a Dutch website.
