I have been looking too, Rockhound, for the maker. But I have one that is VERY similar. I got it from the All That You Can't Leave Behind box set that came out in 2000. The box set came with the CD, Zippo Lighter, a few guitar picks and the beenie. I purchased just the beenie off of ebay 11 years ago for like $20! The beenie is inscribed "U2000". I love it. I still wear it out casually and to the U2 concerts and it fits exactly just like the Edge has.

he has one with hearts, one with morse code, he had the zooTV symbol and text one's,
the thick and thinner kind of black beanie's... With different kind of stitching and stuff.
