Hey folks,

I need to edit a few files I have on my computer - some wav, some mp3 - just to remove false starts and to cut out long stretches of audience noise. However, I have no software to do this and I'm not exactly the most knowledgeable technological person. So does anyone know of any basic editing software available for free online that's easy to use and does what I want to do?

Any help is appreciated!

Have a good one,
Andr?

CoolEdit - you can get a trial version from their site (only saves so many times, I think) or you can dld a *****ed version on most p2ps.

It's a wav editor so if you have mp3 files that you want to convert to wav then most mp3 players have a 'convert' command.

edited by me:wink:

Cool (no pun intended, hehe), thanks for the tip. I'll check it out.

Any other recommendations, anyone?

MP3 Trim is also very good. It will cut out any part of the song that you want cut out. Audacity is another good one. You can add effects to the song with Audacity.

Just download Sound Forge 5.0 off Kazaa

It's really quite good. I don't have a delay pedal so I record my guitar and add delay with this program!
