Weirdest place you've heard a U2 song?

The friendliest place on the web for anyone that follows U2.

I heard Stranded while I was at the gym and nearly died. It is just a shame you can hardly hear Bono's voice - Rhiana's voice is far to strong she just drowns out Bono.

Must have been soothing :)

I heard the studio version of "Stranded (Haiti Mon Amour)" while I was shopping for clothes in the summer sale a couple of days ago. I guess all the kids thought it was "just" a cool Rihanna and Jay-Z track

Oh sorry, I was well, it was the health test all workers have to take once a year here.

As for Rihanna, I don't know, there are more U2 fans among my students than Rihanna fans, but, of course, I'm educating them well

Same with my students. Well educated people usually prefer U2 over Rihanna :shh:

My students are lovely, always ask me about the band and the tour and right now about how Bono's doing and stuff. I really appreciate it.

I had to get an MRI on a Saturday recently. A lot of that area of the hospital is shut down for the weekend. I had to have a security guard let me into the building and then walk down a bunch of empty hallways to get to the right place. It was kind of creepy to wander around and feel like the only person around. There was music playing though, and "Moment of Surrender" was on.

That's kind of reassuring :). What was the MRI for? I hope it wasn't anything serious..

I was in a car wreck, and my knee wasn't improving, so I had an MRI to make sure nothing was torn. The results just showed a lot of swelling and bruising though, so there is nothing serious. It's a bummer to still be hurting, but it's a relief to know I don't need surgery or anything!

On a bus in Egypt when we were going to see the pyramids in Dahshur. When the pyramids came into view, The Saints are Coming was playing on the radio (it was a radio station called Nile FM). The song still reminds me of Dahshur.:cute:

I just remembered hearing Neon Lights in a casino the other day. I hear a lot of U2 songs usually when I'm out at night losing my money at the tables, but it was just really odd hearing something as random as that. Most of the time it's either a well-known 80's hit, or the Mary J version of One. :|

I guess they thought the lyrics made sense enough to play it in Vegas.

While I was on vacation in the US I heard Electrical Storm in a Marshalls. First time I ever heard it on the radio.

I was on a walk last Saturday night, and I heard a live band playing Vertigo in a nearby bar in the process. A female singer, no less!

I work on the campus of a University and this past week I went out for a break and I caught the end of Stuck in a Moment by the school band.
which was weird enough then they broke into Led Zepplin. First thought was, damn that was different.
