I will never in a million years understand this opinion.

Me neither, one of their best pieces of the century.

Boy: Into The Heart
October : Is That All
War: Red Light
Unforgettable Fire: 4th of July
Joshua Tree : In God's Country
Rattle and Hum: Love Rescue Me
Achtung Baby : Wild Horses
Zooropa : Babyface
Passengers Elvis Ate America
ATYCLB : Peace On Earth
HTDAAB: Miracle Drug
NLOTH: SUC
SoI: Song For Someone

Boy: N/A - really consistent album
October: With a Shout
War: The Refugee
UF: Elvis Presley & America
JT: Trip Through Your Wires
R&H: Love Rescue Me
AB: So Cruel (good song but a bit plodding when I listen to it now)
Zooropa: Babyface
Passengers: Elvis Ate America
Pop: Playboy Mansion
ATYCLB: Wild Honey
Bomb: Original of the Species
No Line: Unknown Caller
SoI: Song for Someone

Boy: Can't really think of one that I could call the worst.
October: I haven't listened to the album in years. Can't even remember most of the songs on the album.
War: Refugee/Red Light tie.
TUF: Elvis Presley and America
TJT: Trip Through Your Wires
R&H: Van Diemen's Land
Achtung: Perfect album...but I suppose So Cruel or TTTYAATW if I had to choose.
Zooropa: Some Days Are Better Than Others.
Pop: Miami (thought the live version is awesome!)
ATYCLB: Grace
HTTAAB: A Man and A Woman
NLOTH: White As Snow. Nice lyrics, but I could never get past the "O Come O Come Emmanuel" melody. Either version of Winter would have been a better option.
SOI: The worst moment of the album is the synthesizer on the first verse Reach Me Now. Worst song? Hmm..This one is as hard for me to choose as Achtung Baby, but I suppose the weakest would be Raised By Wolves. Awesome live, but it's the only song on the album I usually skip.

I will never in a million years understand this opinion.

As I share it, I will try to explain. The track needs to hit you or not, if it does not, it is one of the most boring tracks imaginable. And that's exactly how it feels for me, along the likes of Grace and Song for Someone.. it meanders on, going nowhere.

Okay, and hten for weakest tracks.

Boy: Shadows and Tall Trees
October: Scarlet
War: Red Light
Unforgettable Fire: 4th of July/Promenade/EPAA
JT: Mothers of the Disappeared
RnH: All live stuff I guess
AB: None really, but the only one not on par with the rest is So Cruel. Still great track though.
Zooropa: Some Days Are Better Than Others
Pop: Miami
ATYCLB: Grace (honorary mention for live IALW)
HTDAAB: Original of the species
NLOTH: Cedars of Lebanon
SOI: California/SFS/Sleep like a baby/this is where you can reach me now

Oh yeah, I also think 'The Playboy Mansion' is great. One of the best songs between 1993 and now. Have no idea why everyone disses it.

Great lyrics and melody, builds to an inspired ending. The outro is one of the prettiest moments in their catalog.

(I also think 'The Refugee' is great.)

War: Red Light, but still remarkably consistent
The Unforgettable Fire: 4th of July, I guess, but it's an important part of the album

Achtung Baby: So Cruel
Zooropa: Some Days Are Better Than Others (although it really speaks to me sometimes)

Pop: If God Will Send His Angels
All That You Can't Leave Behind: Grace
How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb: Crumbs from Your Table
No Line on the Horizon: Cedars of Lebanon

A Day Without Me (the only mediocre song on an otherwise fantastic album)
I Fall Down (one of the mediocre songs on their worst album)
Seconds (some interesting stuff going on here, but a case of the sum being lesser than the parts)
MLK (worked really well when used to segue into other songs in the 80s though)
Trip Through Your Wires (fun song, but should've been swapped with one of the excellent b-sides for this album)
When Love Comes To Town (lackluster and forgettable)
Wild Horses (they could never get this quite right - there's an amazing song to be found somewhere between the album, single and kindergarten versions combined. Ultimately, I prefer the Salome outtakes session (Morning Child II (Don't Turn Around)) which spawned the various incarnations of this song)
Babyface (pretty ordinary song underneath the bells and whistles)
Miami (a monster live though)
Peace on Earth (worst song they'd put on an album, until...)
All Because of You (this turd came along. Worst. Fucking. U2. Song. Ever.)
Stand Up Comedy (and the shit just keeps on coming! at the nadir of U2's discography alongside the previous two turds)
Every Breaking Wave (it's a decent song, but the rest of the album is better)

Oh man, these are truly fucking hideous songs. The "bad" songs from the other albums don't even begin to compare to these three. There's a distinction between the weakest track on an incredible album (like Trip or Tryin') and sheer brain numbingly awful music that should never have been inflicted on other people not on U2's payroll. I mean, Stand Up Comedy - any self-respecting rock group should disband after releasing a song like that.

Boy - A Day Without Me (definitely not weak because 'Boy' has no weak tracks, but had to pick one)
October - Is That All? (poor mans 'Electric Co')
War - The Refugee (would work in a 2015 80s inspired film)
The Unforgettable Fire - Elvis Presley & America ('Elvis Ate America' far superior)
The Joshua Tree - With or Without You (snoozefest)
Rattle and Hum - Love Rescue Me (not weak, but had to pick one. does drag on a bit though.)
Achtung Baby - Acrobat (overrated)
Zooropa - Numb (one of the worst singles they've released)
Pop - If God Will Send His Angels (the intro can easily throw anybody off. still like it though)
All That You Can't Leave Behind - When I Look at the World (recycled U2 sound)
How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb - Miracle Drug (scent of new born baby's head...blah!)
No Line on the Horizon - I'll Go Crazy If I Don't Go Crazy Tonight (second worst single ever released)
Songs of Innocence - Song for Someone (really don't know what the fuss is about)

Their sense of quality control really got fucked up in the last decade. Glad it started functioning again before they put out SOI.

Boy - Another Time, Another Place
October - Is That All?
War - The Refugee
The Unforgettable Fire - 4th of July
Joshua Tree - Mothers of the Disappeared

Rattle & Hum - Love Rescue Me
Achtung Baby - Tryin' To Throw Your Arms Around The World

Choices in bold are actually great tunes.

What do you mean by throw anybody off? The intro and outro are some of the best parts of that song.

I nominated IGWSHA the weakest purely because of my own experience. When I was younger I would skip it simply because Mofo finished and I wanted to hear Staring at the Sun. I was young and naive and had no time for Edge's beautiful guitar and Bono's smooth vocals.

As for WOWY....I skip it more than Trip Through Your Wires. It's a good song, however I find it hard to sit through it on record and during live performances. I don't know, call me crazy. Surely there are people on here that dislike WOWY.

Boy: Another Time, Another Place
October: I Threw a Brick Through a Window
War: Red Light
TUF: 4th of July
Joshua Tree: Exit
Rattle & Hum: Love Rescue Me
Achtung Baby: One (Had to pick one, think its the only album I love all songs)
Zooropa: Numb
POP: Wake up Dead Man
ATYCLB: Grace
HTDAAB: Love and Peace or Else / Vertigo
NLOTH: White as Snow (U2s worst attempt at a slow song, ever)
SoI: The Troubles (That 2nd voice how damn anoying is that, didn't even bother to check who it is, terrible).
