Honestly wouldn't pay that much, even if it was for a good cause.
It was $1800 for a conference pass and $1000 for dreamfest.

Not totally sure if you needed both or not.

I won't pass judgement but certainly hope these people have high paying jobs to be tossing that kinda cheddar around to see U2 open for MC Hammer.

I've always wondered that about some of the uber-diehards you see showing up at shows all over. I mean if you have the disposable income to swing it, more power to ya...

Oh sure, those I've met have been just fine and nice. Just the "tone" of @U2 - it's all very earnest. I like a little snark in my fandom. (Which is why I dig it here.)
