Not so much remixes as reworked, But i Love the Gone and Discoteque reworked versions. Sadly, i think SATS went backwards when given the same treatment.

I would too! Is there any other 'Fly' mixes out there? Fan made or unreleased?

Also would MASH-UP's be included here as well? They're like remixes I would think. I think the only one from that category that is enjoyable is the U2 vs J-Lo, 'I'm Real Little While' (I think thats the name of it)

J-Lo's 'I'm Real' ft. Ja Rule lyrics backed by U2's 'In A little While' guitar track and backing vocals by Bono.

As far as I know, 'The Lounge Fly Mix' is the only official release until the moment. Also, I don't know if there's any 3rd party stuff of this out there..and yeah, 'I'm Real A Little While' is an enjoyable mashup.

Staring at the Sun (Brothers in Rhythm Ambient Mix) gives me chills- an absolute favorite. And the original studio version doesn't even crack my top 50.

I think 99% of the remixes are unlistenable. I get annoyed when they pack the reissues with remixes like they are giving us something worthwhile, when really they're just filler.

I will say that I prefer the version of "If Good Will Send His Angels" w/the alternate lyrics on the City of Angels soundtrack, along with the soundtrack version of Winter. I also prefer the new mixes of the Pop songs on the 90/00 compilation albums (yeah I know, blasphemy). Not sure if any of those are proper remixes though or just alternate/new versions of the songs.

The first 40 seconds of the New Year's Day (USA Remix) is kind of cool.

Aside from those, for the most part I think all other U2 remixes pretty much suck. I've never heard one I wanted to hear more than once (usually regretted listening the first time).

The remixes, however, do have one positive attribute: they make me appreciate the originals more.

The remixes aren't meant to be taken too seriously as far as I'm concerned. It's not like there is any type of popularity, or musical status being placed with them, it just a different take on the original. I like to think of them as just being something to have and listen to when you get bored with the redundant originals. I know for a fact that there are some extremely awful U2 remixes that with even the first listen make you go 'What the hell is this?!' It's all a matter of who cares to actually take the time to explore the strange side of U2, aside from Pop.
