I, as many others, believe that this is U2's greatest era of music; therefore it merits a ranking. This is studio material only.

Streets
Bad
Running To Stand Still
A Sort Of Homecoming
Tomorrow
One Tree Hill
New Year's Day
Wire
Sunday Bloody Sunday
Love Comes Tumbling
Mothers Of The Disappeared
A Day Without Me
Angel Of Harlem
Desire
Out Of Control

Tough having to make this list down to just 15.

From my POV, the Top 15 for the 90's was relatively easy, because 12 of those came from the same record, The Top 15 for the 00's is relatively difficult because it's hard to find 15 truly exceptional tracks from that era, while the Top 15 for the 80's is virtually impossible because there are so many exceptional tracks from that decade. There are 15 outstanding b-sides alone from that era, many of which are better than a good deal of the rest of U2's catalogue.

This is completely true.

-87 in particular is an embarrassment of riches. You can make one great album by combining UF b-sides with the best material from Edge's Heroine soundtrack, and another with JT b-sides and other unreleased material.
