9. Who's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses?

Interesting.

This song gets a lot of shit because it feels out if step with a lot of AB, and it's the usual punching bag for people who want to complain about Bono's lyrics, but this is among the most colossal, soaring, achey choruses they've ever done, and about a manic pixie dream girl, too. I know many not-even-casual fans who love this song and find themselves singing along to "don't you loooook baaaack" as they drive alone through the dirty rain.

A good choice. Oddball, but only by virtue of the fact that we've been taught to hate it for stupid reasons.

WGRYWH has a wonderful melody, biting lyricism and one of Edge's coolest guitar tones. I love that song and can't fathom someone finding a problem with it.

As far as cringeworthy lyrics in The Miracle, it's got to be the chorus: "I woke up at the moment when the miracle occurred/Heard a song that made some sense out of the world." There weren't thousands of different configurations for this sentiment that would be easier to follow? That's as pithy as it gets? It's a fucking chorus. Less is more. Perfect example of Bono stuffing far too many words into each line.
