Need a little help. A friend of mine recently expressed interest in the band and wanted to watch some live performances. I know there are so many on YouTube but I'd really like to lead him to the pivitol performances - from the early days, the UF/JT period, Zoo T.V. and beyond. Whatever you guys think are the best performances by the band (any time period). Much appreciated. Thanks.

you cant go wrong with the "bad" clips from live aid.
i also like "walk on" and "out of control" from 10/27/01..it was @ msg just after 9/11.
although this isnt a band performance , someone did a beautiful montage of 9/11
to the song "peace on earth" it will make you cry.

there is an amazing proshot version of WOWY from the Zootv tour early stages that is just the most fantastic version of this song ever. Can't for the life of me remember what show or date though

The Washington (Outside Broadcast, Leg III) and Rotterdam (Leg Deux) versions are my favorite from Zoo TV. Check 'em out on YouTube.

My faves are Streets from Boston, New York from Letterman, and anything from the South American leg of the Vertigo tour

And two of the most touching tributes

Sadly, not much video to be found from this show. Years later 3 out of 4 members said this was their single most memorable show.

If Digitize is out there, could you tell us where and when that "Discotheque" on the Vertigo tour was? That was stunning, and damn, did his voice ever sound good!

Kite from Sydney 2006, simply breathtaking. Also Miss Sarajevo from Milan 2005 or from the last Vertigo leg. RRHOF performances, especially End of the world, and the Modena performance of Miss Sarejevo and One from the War Child Concert.
