Terrible article

The friendliest place on the web for anyone that follows U2.
If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
Keep these articles comming and maybe U2 will get pissed and pump out some amazing shit.

Anyway whenever people talk about The Joshua Tree as being the only time U2 were any good I know can dismiss the article right away... and that should be a clue for you guys too.

Also, U2 could have God produce the album for them, and there would still be haters. And even with God there, a U2 album still would probably sell between 1-2M copies in the U.S. simply because people aren't buying albums. Eminem's album has only sold 1.4M copies! This is from a guy who could sell 1M+ copies in a week earlier this decade!

The true proof of U2's popularity is clearly the tour. The numbers speak for themselves.

Of course, this would require someone to do a bit of research. It's far easier to write a nasty article and state how glorious the "old days" were than do some real writing.

the fact is, music has turned around completely and it just isn't widely acknowledged - live music is the real test of popularity. unlike a cd or a video you can't torrent the live experience, which is why despite low album sales live music is still incredibly popular even in such a fucked economic climate.
