Question about 'Gone' on 1990-2000

So obviously its a new recording of 'Gone' on this compilation, and a new sort of mix too. Definitely superior. When the song crashes in after the guitar pattern, it really hits you, and Bono's vocals are much better in it. So my question is: when did they re-record and remix this new version? Judging by Bono's vocals, I'm saying after the Elevation tour?

Probably in 2002. It is definitely post Elevation tour. I think this New Mix version was modeled after the version of Gone played on the Elevation tour.

Yep, it was recorded in 2002. Don't know the exact date, but the vocals are definitely post Elevation tour.
