No Line On the Horizon-The most underrated album not just by U2 but music in general.

The friendliest place on the web for anyone that follows U2.
If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
I have music on. And am carrying on a conversation with a mutual friend.

I SWEAR!!!!!

*weeps*

I think you're a little naive of their impact. I'm going to chalk this up with some of your other far fetched out of touch arguments.

Do you seriously think if labels were to miraculously shut down every torrent site in the world tomorrow, album sales would somehow double or show a significant upswing in the next year or two?

How drastic changes have major labels done to keep customers happy in the new post-napster world?

Does the porn world complain about their fans massive ring of torrent sites?

I don't care to argue any of this, it's not the thread for it...

All I know is that CD sales in general are lower and tour sales have not been effected equally, your original comment that I first commented on doesn't seem to reflect this understanding. Period.

Putting it slightly back on topic....

U2 needs at least one strong single for their albums to sell at the rate they are accustomed. This album hasn't had a single that connected. I think Mag is a contender, but it didn't connect.

I don't see the threat of torrent sites having a significantly more of an effect on sales of Horizon moreso than Bomb.

There's many threads on interference about alternate tracklistings or alternate album sequencing. Far more than I had seen in the past on this forum during past tours.

Maybe a "how long have you gone without listening to the full Horizon album" thread would be a good idea. I'm at 18 months and I wonder if I'm alone.

The very point of my thread was that you're not alone. People who have neglected 'No Line...' for "18 months" are all too common for me. There are PLENTY of threads on Interference.com where you would feel at home. This thread I created was for lovers of NLOTH to actually unite!

While I'm at it, how 'bout a sub thread that asks:

Does anyone else feel that, for once in U2's career, the album is far better than the very tour promoting it? That NLOTH breaks, in your ears, the gerneral consensus that U2 in the studio is equal to or less than U2 on stage?
