I feel like I'm filling out my will writing this thread.

I know its a hard topic to bring up but what will become of us and Interference post U2? What will it become? I know it will stay a fan site but what will we talk about? Bono's vasectomy? Edges medications for his prostate? Adam ran out of Viagra at the pharmacy? Lary can't read the nutritional information on his box of veggie burgers without his glasses anymore?

Well...imagine Interference during any tour/album hiatus....only this time it's permanent thus much worse.
 
I'm sure people will still find arguments to get into about their existing material. :wink:

Just because they stop putting out new music doesn't mean their old stuff goes away, and that they won't still get new fans who discover their music and want to talk about it.

The rest of the topics can wait until we have nothing else to talk about :applaud:
 
True, that happened years ago... though I think that topic is more suited for PLEBA tho. :wink: All the women screaming at him "BONO I WANNA HAVE YOUR BABIES" will be very dissapointed tho.

I'm almost afraid to know how this news got out there. I'm assuming Bono himself didn't come out and make some sort of "snip snip, whee!" reference in an interview.

I also feel a sort of sense of relief to learn that this is a piece of information I didn't know.

Well this is an odd thread... one that would appear perfectly normal in the scenario the OP is talking about though.
 
You know there’ll be endless compilations and box sets, deluxe box sets, super special box sets, super special deluxe box sets, and exclusive super special limited edition box sets to bitch about.
 
You know what it's like here between albums and tours? That's what it'll be like forever and ever. :crack: And ever.

I hope that day doesn't come for many, many years. What a depressing thought.

Even if they stop being a band, I bet they'll still be puttering around when they're old doing stuff for us to talk about (although I bet Larry - and maybe Adam - will disappear with relief from the public eye).

Where in that interview did she even give the remotest hint that Bono had had a vasectomy? Gonna have to come up with a better one than that or this is just another bs rumour imo.

People ask me the same question all the time ("will you guys have more kids?") and I'm like nope, no way, no how, I got my boy and girl, we're done, hell no, etc etc. But that doesn't mean I've necessarily gone out and had a surgical procedure! :lol:

The interview I read was similar to that, but it was right after John's birth. So a year before this one.. I'm not even sure where I read it anymore.

But anyhoo, how does that turn into a vasectomy? I don't get it. It's not like they were interviewing Bono and he said "I just couldn't put her through a fifth, so I've done the right thing to make sure it'll never happen again". Now THAT would be a hint that'd be pretty clear. This is just Ali effectively saying that they've decided to not have any more, imo. :shrug:
 
In the interview I read it was stated more definitive. I don't remember how or what but it was pretty clear that it wouldn't happen again. Ofcourse, it could've been some other rag copying this and making their own words, it's too long ago for me to remember. All I remember is that from reading it it became pretty clear that he's snip snip snipped.
We'll never know for sure, ofcourse. unless you're volunteering to ask the man. :wink:
 
Why do you think I'm enjoying this thread so much? :wink: I love seeing guys squirm. And there's nothing to make them squirm more than the topic of snip snips. :mac:
