Here's my crazy uncle and he's come dressed as The Edge!

During the magnificence of the ZOO TV era, U2 pretty much took over the MTV network for those two years, or at least that's how it seemed to me!

One of the features they had were regular competitions, one of which was to make your own version of a U2 video, and if you won you would get to go on stage and film the band during Even Better Than The Real Thing, great prize.

Anyway, the winner was a Polish guy called Peter and MTV did a kind of back story on them, and showed them being interviewed by The Edge, during which the camera pans around to reveal that the Polish guy's plus one is his scary looking uncle who had come dressed as Zoo TV Edge, or at least he thought he had! He looked like a serial killer had dressed as The edge.

This all made great viewing, as did the actual footage of him going on stage and filming, he seemed to trip over Edge during a solo and made Edge fuck up, and the standard of filming wasn't great. This promted Bono to be rather harsh and proclaim to the crowd, "you're fired"!

My question is, does anyone know where I can find this, I lost my VHS of it and cant find on youtube.

I think this was part of a weekend dedicated to U2. I loved it. I was quite new to U2 and had only heard Achtung Baby and Zooropa. I remember watching some of their early videos such as Celebration and I will Follow and thinking "wait, is this the same band?! Was there a line up change!?"

I recorded it all on VHS and watched it again and again.
