If we're gong for pointlessness, I think "One Step Closer" has to take the cake. It's an amusing detour the first couple of times you listen to the album and then it does nothing but pad the runtime after that.

I honestly think there are very very few songs U2 have done that truly deserve to be called "shitty" or "pointless". And most songs on that original list aren't among those.
