Very interesting read - not sure how much I buy the country connection, but I have to take literally anyone else's word for it since I follow country music as little as possible.

I'm a fan of Wild Honey, so I appreciate the shout out.

Also, it never really occurred to me enough to put it all together, but U2's Country connections do run really deep and this article was a lot of fun to read. I hear Edge's influence on guitar playing all the time but since I'm not exposed to modern Country all that much I didn't realize his style was such a hallmark in the genre. The quote from a session player (Nashville's lifesblood) about The Edge and Mike Campbell being the main influences was neat.

Yes, it's legit. Keith Urban's new album was like the country Achtung (in several respects).
