Delighted that a Silver and Gold is gone.

Crystal Ballroom, although I really enjoy the song.

It may have so far been getting a bit of "novelty protection" (from myself included) given it's unique characteristic of being a 2010's "b-side" and I don't think it has ever featured in one of these survivor games before. Would it have fared as well in th same contest in a decade's time? Who knows.

Also think it's the best chance of saving the beautiful Luminous Times.

The Crystal Ballroom. I like intedomine's comment, nail on head.
And Luminous Times is way too good.

love Crystal Ballroom, but next to the others it's sadly time for it to go

I'll vote Stateless or Mercy to protect everything else.

What a fucking great collection of songs we'll have once Crystal Ballroom is ousted.

I'll be coming for Loves Comes Tumbling again soon. Me and my army of, ah, me...

It's already a fucking great collection of songs. Crystal Ballroom might've been a top 5 track on SOI and I am sad to see it go, though if I'm being honest, Electrical Storm is the only track left that should really go before it. I'm genuinely surprised that Electrical Storm has made it this far.

For the love of god what is so good about Electrical Storm? It's so forced. Just because Edge started playing electric guitar with some energy again?

The lyrics are shit.

And Mercy with 4 votes already has me loading the magazine.

For me Electrical Storm's quality comes down to a number of factors. Besides nostalgia (it was the first new U2 single released after I became a fan), I love the melody/chord progression of that song. I love the high, cracking vocal delivery in the chorus. I love the biting guitar tone. It has the weariness of the best Achtung Baby tracks and it conveys that through all of the above factors and just a touch less studio polish. It's a good, hearty rock song from a band fresh off of a very pop, very mainstream album. It's what I wish HTDAAB had sounded like (along with Mercy and Smile).

It is a shame that the lyrics aren't better, but as far as 00s U2 goes it's passable.
