Not in any order:

The Ground Beneath Her Feet
Beautiful Day
Electrical Storm (the version that is on the B-Sides disc)
Window in the Skies
No Line on the Horizon II
Fez
Moment of Surrender
California
Volcano
Wolves

That, put on one album, would probably be top 3 for me with a track listing like:
Fez
Electrical Storm
California
Beautiful Day
Window in the Skies
The Ground Beneath Her Feet
No Line II
Volcano
Wolves
Moment of Surrender

Cool thread.....I don't want to consider SOI only because I've listened to them for only 4 days, so it's just not fair.

1-Beautiful Day
2-Walk On
3-Vertigo
4-Magnificent
5-Elevation
6-Breathe
7-Stuck in a Moment
8-Love and Peace or Else
9-City of Blinding Lights
10-Window in the Skies

Bubbling under....Miracle Drug, Invisible, Moment of Surrender and The Ground Beneath Her Feet

If I consider SOI, Every Breaking Wave & California would make the list in the middle somewhere. I also really dig The Miracle, so that might make the list too in time but more towards the bottom.

1. Mercy (leak)
2. The Ground Beneath Her Feet
3. Fez - Being Born
4. City Of Blinding Lights
5. Moment Of Surrender
6. When I Look At The World
7. Electrical Storm
8. Iris (Hold Me Close)
9. Stuck In A Moment You Can't Get Out Of
10. One Step Closer

AGREED!

While I really dislike the song Fez, The fact that you put One Step Closer on your list makes me happy. When I first hear that song, thought it was bland and didnt like it. Now, its one of my favorite songs on that album.

1. Vertigo (I guess, lot of nostalgia with this one)
2. Invisible
3. Beautiful Day
4. Every Breaking Wave
5. Volcano
6. California
7. City of Blinding Lights
8. Magnificent
9. Moment of Surrender
10. This Is Where You Can Reach Me Now

Honorable mentions to No Line On the Horizon, Raised by Wolves, Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own, Walk On, and The Troubles.

1.) Moment of Surrender
2.) Beautiful Day
3.) Every Breaking Wave
4.) Mercy (studio)
5.) Magnificent
6.) California ( There is No End to Love )
7.) Sleep Like a Baby Tonight
8.) The Troubles
9.) City of Blinding Lights
10.) NLOTH II

In no particular order:
  • Beautiful Day
  • Kite
  • Levitate
  • City of Blinding Lights
  • Magnificent
  • Moment of Surrender
  • California
  • Iris (Hold Me Close)
  • This Is Where You Can Reach Me Now
  • The Troubles
So that's 3 songs from ATYCLB (I'm lumping Levitate in there 'cause it's from the ATYCLB sessions), 1 from Bomb, 2 from NLOTH and 4 from SOI.

In release order. This would probably change if asked again in a month.

Kite
When I Look At The World
The Ground Beneath Her Feet
Electrical Storm (aside from the heavy truck air)
City Of Blinding Lights
Crumbs From Your Table (aside from the mouth full of teeth)
A Man And A Women
Fast Cars
Unknown Caller
Every Breaking Wave

1 The ground beneath her feet
2 Kite
3 When I look at the world
4 Electrical storm
5 Mercy (Studio version)
6 Yahweh alt. version
7 NLOTH 2
8 Moment of Surrender
9 Fez - Being born
10 Iris

I would like to put more SOI songs in the list, but besides Iris (best in a long time for me), I can't make up my mind..... I need more time, but in a few months, Raised by wolves, Sleep like a baby and The Troubles might sneak in that list instead of ES and Yahweh 2

Ordered by release date

When I Look At The World
Electrical Storm
Mercy
City Of Blinding Lights
No Line On The Horizon
Fez - Being Porn
Moment Of Surrender
This Is Where You Can Reach Around
Iris
The Troubles

NLOTH2
Electrical Storm
Moment of Surrender
Fez - Being Born
Miracle Drug
Breathe
When I Look At The World

Something like that I guess.

Good job Interference. I saw at least 10 responses place When I Look At The World in their lists.

Mercy (studio leak is magic - live makes me puke)
Native Son
Glastonbury (I love 70's classic rock, and this is as close as they've ever come)
NLOTH 2
Fez - Being Born
Iris (Hold Me Close)
In A Little While
Kite
Magnificent
The Ground Beneath Her Feet

Glad to see Iris making a lot of lists.

Every Breaking Wave should probably be in my list. I'll make it #11.

And yes I agree, North And South Of The River is pure genius, one of the best things they have ever done.

New album's at least 3 songs will definitely be in the top 10 post-2000.

1. Troubles 2. Every Breaking Wave 3. TIWYCRMN

No Line On The Horizon's 2 songs will definitely be in the top 10 post-2000.

1. MOS 2. White As Snow

And.... add to that...... Mercy ( Demo Version )

And to complete my list...........

1. Kite 2. Ground Beneath Her Feet / Stateless 3. Walk On 4. Electrical Storm

01.Moment of Surrender
02. Stuck in a Moment
03. Beautiful Day
04. Iris
05. The Troubles
06. Magnificent
07. Every Breaking Wave
08. Sometimes You Can't Make It on Your Own
09. No Line on the Horizon
10. Peace on Earth

Probably shouldn't have included SoI.
Too fresh.
Also feels like "Ordinary Love" should have made the list.

If NORTH & SOUTH OF THE RIVER and I'm NOT YOUR BABY were included in the POP album then it would be one of the greatest album ever released. What a missed opportunity !!!

9. White As Snow (just a beautiful album track - helps me forget about some NLOTH misfires, like Crazy Tonight).

Bonus: Crazy Tonight - CONCERT VERSION (while I abhor the album track, U2 took a so-so remix of a terrible song and created something brilliant in concert.)

:up::up::up:

1. Beautiful Day
2. Disappearing Act (Does that count? It's half modern era)
3. Invisible
4. Vertigo
5. Electrical Storm (Band Version)

8. Mercy
9. Window in the Skies

When I Look At the World
Flower Child
Vertigo
White As Snow

So glad to see Kite in this list but in a sad way...we are getting that age where we understand Kite fully and it is painful.
