'Man vs. Wild'...IRELAND?

Yeah, what?

I normally loathe all shows 'reality', but once in awhile I'll turn on 'Man vs. Wild' just for the sheer weirdness of it. I don't think that 99% of us would ever be caught in any of the situations Bear Grylls puts himself into, but if I ever were in that situation, I'd love to have me a little Bear in my corner.

To conserve body heat, only, of course! Sheesh.

Anyway, so this weekend we have Bear in Siberia (which makes sense) and, um...

Now I know there are still some 'wild' parts of Ireland, but come on...Ireland?!? Mmmmkay. Whatev.

Man vs. Wild

Bear Grylls parachutes into the Siberian tundra, one of the coldest and harshest places on earth, where he must survive extreme challenges. Battling temperatures of minus 30 degrees, he must find shelter and food before night falls.

Man vs. Wild

Bear Grylls survives the rugged West Coast of Ireland! where he has to scale 2000 ft high sea cliffs! Bear gets stuck in a peat bog! retrieving a dead sheep for food! and risks hypothermia! when he's washed out of his shelter overnight by a rainstorm!
Must be all those WILD Irish roses, or all that crazy Irish craic, or all that harsh Guinness beer that's the cause! Oh Bear....be careful out there!

I've seen that one. The sheep bit is pretty gross. He boils it's organs (I think) in a hotspring.

But yeah, next time I go camping, I'll take Bear Grylls along.

The West coast of Ireland can be pretty harsh man...a big whack of Donegal is just a big desert of peat bog and looks the same from every direction.

I love Bear Grylls! No mountain is too sheer for that man to absail down and no half dead animal too disgusting for him to gnaw at
