Yeah, what?

I normally loathe all shows 'reality', but once in awhile I'll turn on 'Man vs. Wild' just for the sheer weirdness of it. I don't think that 99% of us would ever be caught in any of the situations Bear Grylls puts himself into, but if I ever were in that situation, I'd love to have me a little Bear in my corner.

To conserve body heat, only, of course! Sheesh.

Anyway, so this weekend we have Bear in Siberia (which makes sense)...

The things you find when you do major house cleaning! I spent all weekend going through parts of my place that have become "crap catch-alls" like a dresser I use for storage, my computer room closet, and my patio storage area, which hasn't been touched since I moved here about 6 years ago! I can't believe how much junk I was hanging onto, it was pathetic! But now everything has its place, yay! And I have a mountain of stuff by the door headed for the trash or food Goodwill. ...

It's back to 'normal' life again, all of my Christmas decorations and artifacts have been taken down and packed up, ready to go back into the patio closet for another year :



It's amazing how dull everything looks after you remove all of the red, green and sparkly goodies! I vow that this year will be better, plus I'm already planning to have a Christmas party myself, something...

However, NYE was a little boisterous, for once, yay!

After a couple of dry years, as far as New Years Eves go, I went out with 5-6 friends for a wonderful sushi/hibachi dinner at a local restaurant. Our "dinner companions" at the hibachi table were this adorable young couple, probably about 18-19. We all remarked after they left that they could have been the children of any of us! Then afterward we went back to J's apt., where we played poker and gin,...

Some GOOD news.

A friend forwarded me this article. Now, I don't like football. I don't even like sports in general, but this article moved me so much, I was compelled to write a 'thank you' email to the coach! Really heartwarming.

Kinda gives one hope in humanity again. Sure wish the MSM would publish more news like this.
