Registration Opens August 1 for U2 Conference

Public officials in the Raleigh-Durham area of North Carolina might as well officially declare October 2-4 as “U2 Weekend.” U2: The Hype and The Feedback, the first academic conference devoted to exploring the music, work and influence of the Irish band, is set for that weekend at North Carolina Central University in Durham – the same weekend U2 is set to be in concert in Raleigh.

Fans From All Over the World Savor U2′s Return Home

Silvano Constantini sits in Dublin’s Temple Bar, nursing a Guinness, and needing above all else to gather his thoughts.

He has just crossed the Atlantic from Toronto, Canada, to see U2 perform in their hometown.  The sights of Friday and Saturday night’s Croke Park shows have left him with an unruly stampede of thoughts and emotions to wrangle.

Rainy Berlin Welcomes Back U2

U2′s 360 Degrees tour marched on this weekend to Berlin, Germany, the city that famously birthed the band’s career-transforming record Achtung Baby in 1990 and ’91.

While the weather did not cooperate and the stage umbrellas were unfurled, it was still a beautiful day for the band and its standard entourage of about 90,000, packed into the Olympiastadion for a triumphant one-night stand.
